Our story
It started with one cup.
Many years ago, Cecelia’s grandmother Ada fell in love with a set of teacups. She couldn’t afford them all at once, so she saved and bought one at a time until she had the full set.
Decades later, a teacup from Ada’s collection found its way back to Cecelia.
It had been given to a cousin after Ada’s passing and carefully kept for years before making its way to Cecelia just before Christmas.
That little teacup carried more than a beautiful memory. It carried a connection to family, to the past, and to the moments we choose to share with the people we love.
And from that connection, Ada’s Tea Cup was born.
The founder
Meet Cecelia.
I’m Cecelia Curtis, tea lover and founder of Ada’s Tea Cup.
My love for tea began when I lived in Japan more than 15 years ago and has grown into an appreciation for teas from around the world.
Life has taken me through many seasons—as a military spouse, a mom to three boys, a friendship podcast host, and now a tea company founder. Through it all, I’ve come to appreciate what a simple cup of tea can create: a little space to slow down, connect, and be present.
With ourselves. With the people we love. With the moments we might otherwise rush past.
That’s what Ada’s Tea Cup is about: special tea for special moments.
